Audition Required

Any student wishing to declare a minor in music must audition on an instrument and be approved by the Frost School of Music. The approval form is available in the Undergraduate Dean’s Office. A fee is assessed for private instruction. The fee is $350 per semester and must be paid prior to enrolling. Please note that private lessons may not be available on all instruments. Studio space varies from year to year. A music minor requires 15 credit hours, 12 of which must be earned at the University of Miami.
