The artist faculty of the Woodwind Program at the Frost School of Music are committed to the highest standard of excellence in our profession and to the education of our students in a progressive environment. We strive for the students’ successful development and transformation into artists who have an individual voice. The Woodwind Faculty are active performers as well as dedicated teachers, presenting performances, masterclasses, and clinics worldwide. The Woodwind Program frequently hosts masterclasses by renowned guest artists. Our graduates hold significant positions in the music profession, both as performers and university faculty. The Stamps Woodwind Quintet is comprised of five outstanding young string musicians (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, and bassoon) who are enrolled at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. They were selected from an amazing roster of talented young artists who passed the auditions of the Frost School of Music and met the academic requirements of the University of Miami. The students were each offered a full four-year scholarship, including room and board, provided by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation. In addition to their regular music studies, the group is provided special opportunities to perform at festivals and venues of excellence and to create a cohesive group over a four-year period.
