The Chameleon Strings Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Brian Powell, is a chamber orchestra open to the Frost School of Music students and the University of Miami students.

Members of this ensemble perform and learn string orchestra repertoire in a collaborative environment, experiencing great music from all historical periods. The University of Miami students who are not part of the Frost School of Music must complete a short audition prior to joining the ensemble.

The course meets on Tuesdays from 2:40 pm to 3:40 pm in Volpe 103 in the Spring semester.
In the Fall, the class now meets on Wednesday from 2:30-3:20 pm in North PLF 330.
In Spring, it is on Wednesdays 1:25-2:15 pm in Broby.
The section is always MIP 143 POW1. It would be less confusing to just make this a permanent course rather than going through the 142 placeholders. I get questions about finding it in the bulletin many times every semester.
