An important step to Building Yourself at the Frost School of Music is participation in our numerous and varied string ensembles. String players can audition for Chameleon Chamber Orchestra, HMI String Quartet, Frost Cello Ensemble, Ensemble Ibis (new music), and of course string quartets, trios, duos, string octets, and quintets as well as piano trios, quartets, and quintets, all coached by our outstanding faculty. On the larger ensemble front, The Recording Ensemble, the Blue Grass Ensemble, the Frost Symphony Orchestra, and the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra all are available for participation through audition.
